Founder and Past Artistic Director

Working with the young singers in Richmond has been a gift to treasure for a lifetime! From our beginning as a Richmond School District choir in 2000, to our present status as the premiere youth concert choir in our city in 2010, leading and inspiring the Richmond Youth Honour Choir has been an exciting and rewarding adventure. As the choir has grown, so has the participation from parents, board members and the community. From my current, more relaxed position of Past Artistic Director, the accomplishments of everyone involved evoke pride and gratitude. The future for this dynamic choir is spectacular!

Ms. Heidi Epp

Artistic Director and Conductor for the Elementary Division

We welcome Ms. Heidi Epp as the new Artistic Director for the Richmond Youth Honour Choir and as the new conductor for Elementary Division of the choir. She brings a wide range of talents and experiences to this position. Ms. Epp is known to the community as a skilled pianist, singer, flautist, conductor, friend and parent. She is active in many musical organizations, including the Royal Conservatory of Music, Northwest Musical Reading Clinics, Tait Elementary School, and Peace Mennonite Church. When she is not teaching piano lessons or rehearsing a choir, she enjoys working as a professional clown. Heidi's associations with other musical organizations, performers and composers are already creating new opportunities for our choirs. Her first debut conducting the choir will be at the Peace Concert this November.
